چکیده
Abstract The primary goals of this research are to detect the spatial variation hydrogeological characteristics and evaluate groundwater quality in eastern Nile River, Khartoum state, Sudan, using geophysical hydrochemical methods. Thirteen Vertical electrical soundings (VES), Schlumberger configuration, were measured along three profiles characterize aquifer. VES findings denoted that study area comprises two hydraulically connected aquifers. upper aquifer sand has an average thickness 50 m, lower is composed sandstone a up 300 m. results inversion further used measure characteristics, including transverse resistance, longitudinal conductance, hydraulic conductivity, transmissivity. detected values these parameters 6690 ?m 2 , 1.4 ? ?1 264 m /d 4 m/day, respectively. In addition, regression analysis was performed suggest local relationships for estimating within area. On other hand, total conductance predict protective strength columns, ranging from 1.7 5.8 ; as result, capacity ranged good very good, suggesting potable water quality. This result subsequently confirmed by index (GWQI) model. Eleven physiochemical analyzed nine boreholes GWQI estimation assess indicated almost all below permissible limits prescribed World Health Organization (WHO). computed varies between 34.8 148, majority samples, precisely 55.5%, types, while 22.2% samples excellent state. concluded ideal exploitation. However, applying detailed survey recommended reduce uncertainty resulting models.

This survey was conducted in Al-Kalakla Fishery (KF) and Jabel Awlia Dam Fishery (JADF) in the White Nile River, Khartoum state to identify the selective and non-selective fishing gear. The results showed the selective fishing gear represented by gill-nets and seine nets (beach nets) in both fisheries with clear variation in use. In KF, fixed nets were dominant (56%) in fishing and followed by ...
متن کاملEstimation of Browse Productivity for Acacia seyal (Delile) in Alazzazah Area, Blue Nile State, Sudan
Fodder trees and shrubs are crucial sources of animal feed in Sudan, particularly in arid and semi-arid areas. This is because they can fill up the feed gaps in the summer period when grassland growth is limited due to unfavorable weather conditions. The study was conducted in Elnour forest-southeastern Sudan in 2015, which is dominated by Acacia seyal. The objectives of this study were to esti...
